At our Church, we offer services that bring light and hope to our community. We invite all to join us as we gather in prayer and worship, and in the spirit of fellowship. Our services are open to everyone who wishes to seek a place of peace and joy. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving and supportive atmosphere that encourages spiritual growth and development. We strive to provide an atmosphere of comfort and acceptance, and a place of light and hope.
Pastors: Ricardo Gonzalez and Jennifer Carrillo
Pastor Gonzalez and his wife (Jennifer Carrillo) have two wonderful kids; Alejandra and David. They are from Costa Rica and moved to Marion, NC in 2018. The Lord called them to serve at a young age. Jennifer is following in her fathers footsteps in serving the Lord through missions and community work. They all have served under the International Pentecostal Conference and continue to do so in McDowell. They have established a Hispanic sister church housed within East Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church named East Marion IPHC en Español. When they first arrived, they began their work going door to door inviting the community to services and introducing themselves. At the same time they asked the community what their greatest need was and most made known that they would like to have ESL classes with bilingual teachers who could help them really learn English. They asked, listened, and did just that. They also got to know Mrs. Laura Salas who began to congregate with them and offered to teach the classes.
Connections were made and they soon were able to offer three levels of ESL to the community. They brought a service that was needed while also ministring through actions the example and love of Jesus Christ. Although the Pandemic caused a short pause in their plans, they soon were able to pick right up, stonger than before, and even opened an office within the church where they are available to help the community.
